How to do a French Plait

Posted by Louise On January - 16 - 2010

Starting at the front of the head take a small triangle section then split in to three equal sections, holding one section in the left hand and two in the right hand.

With section 1 take over section 2 then bring section 3 over section 1, and then you have to bring section 2 back over section 3. At this stage you need to add a small section of hair from the left side of the head approximately the same width as the original sections. You then bring section 1 back over section 2 holding hair securely in y our left hand adding a small section of hair from the right side of the head. While at top of the head always bring sections up to the centre of the head .As you get to the back of the head, approximately inline with the ear, bring sections across to the middle of the head instead of up as the angle changes with the head. Once you reach the nape of the neck, start to add sections coming down. When you have reached the stage where you are passed the nape, carry on as if you were plaiting a normal plait.
