5 minute guide to prevent split ends

Posted by Louise On January - 16 - 2010

1) Try not to over wash and dry your hair, spending hours upon hours styling your hair as this will result in you coursing breakage.

2) Try to reduce chemical damage. It is always best to not over perm, colour and straighten your hair. It is best to limit your self to one or two chemical treatments and make sure to always trim away over processed hair.

3) It’s always helps if you have a brake and give your hair a detox or a deep conditioner and I would do this every fourth shampoo, with the deep conditioning treatment I would try to keep it in for about 15 minutes.

4) It a well know fact that we are all to tough with are hair so when brushing your hair try not to tug and pull as this can course split ends especially when your hair is wet. It is always good to use a good quality brushes and always comb out tangles from the ends.

5) It will always help your hair if you have a good diet such as foods with vitamins and also mineral- packed for e.g. nuts, berries, and broccoli also foods that are rich in zinc and omega 3, 6 and 9 and oily fish is also good.

6) It is always a good idea to give are hair a rest from all the hot styling tools like tongs, hairdryers and straighter as all these tools can dry your hair out and course split ends.
