How to do fishtail plait

Tools you will need to do a fishtail plait are:
A paddle brush or something similar, some hair bands, hair spray and if you have layers you mite need dome grips.

Before starting any plait you should always make sure you have removed all the knots.

You need to start by taking two sections one ether side of the face approximately about 3 cm deep this section should run from the temple down to the top of the ear

Once you have done that you need to bring the sections back to the crown and cross the right one over the left one

Now using your right hand press the crossed hair on to the head and hold in place

Now using our left hand pick up a new section of hair from the left side of the head just under the first section and about the same size

The new section of hair needs to go over the right hand section but as you are doing this you need to swap your hand and hold down at the cross over point

The end of your hair will naturally fall to the middle of the head with the rest of the hair

Now with you right hand pick up a new section of hair from the right side of the head place this section of hair over the hair from the left section and just like before swap your hand that is holding the hair pressed on the head

Keep repeating this down the head till you run out of hair

When you get beyond the nape and no longer tack hair from each side of the head carry on by taking the hair from underneath of your ponytail and crossing this hair over at the centre front

All you need to do after you have done that is to secure the hair in with a hair band.

The bob hair style

The bob hair style is a very popular hair cut that has been around since our parents and grandparents were little girls. The bob hair cut will never completely be out of fashion.

If you are thinking of giving a bob style a go you will have to consider what sort of bob you would like, as there are many definitions of the bob style. One thing with the bob style is that there is one for every face shape, and if you have fine hair having the right bob can make it look thicker but if you have thick hair a bob can make it more manageable and also look more under controle.

A bob style is very versatile which means that it is perfect for what every texture or thinckness your hair is.

so here are some idears on different bob styles.

The short bob

The short bob looks great with an oval or square face shape, your hair should be dead straight. When asking for this style let the stylist know that you would like the longest piece of hair about an inch above your chin this will give you a face hugging effect.

The best maintenance for this style to keep it looking great is to vist your salon once every month.

The blunt bob

The blunt bob is great if you have very fine hair as it will make your hair look thicker. This style doesn’t work if your hair is curly hair unless you are willing to straighten it everyday.  When asking for this cut ask for a blunt line as a shaggy line will emphasizes thin hair, also having a severe fringe will aslo give sharpness to this hair cut.

The best maintenance for this style to keep it looking great is to blow-dry it straight and finish with straighteners, I would also get it trimmed every 6 weeks to keep the style in shape.

The curly bob

The curly bob looks great, but if you have a round face shape have the hair longer than your chin and also a bit longer on the neck just to balance this style.

obviously you will need curly hair but if your hair is in spirals be careful that you dont cut it to short. When asking for this cut ask your stylist to keep the length at your cheekbones this is because curls can retract at least an inch. Having individual curls cut will help create choppiness but try to avoid bulkiness.

The best maintenance to keep this style looking great is to have it trimmed every 6 weeks. Once you have had it cut in to the style don’t over do it with tons of products as the cut will give it shape.

The romantic bob

The romantic bob looks best if you have medium to fine wavy hair so if you have thick hair you will find it will end up very pouffy. When asking for this cut tell your stylist that you want it to fall to about the middle of your neck and also that you would like long layers.

The best maintenance to keep this style looking great is to have it trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks. To keep it springy blow-dry with a diffuser.

The angled bob

This bob works with most hair types but is easier to style if your hair is fine and straight. If you have a round face shape you will find the angled bob will make your face appear thinner, but if you have narrow features you will find that it will make your face appear longer.

When asking for this cut you want it to be razor cut on the ends to texturizes the hair,  this will leave the back of your hair look soft and not so harsh.

The best maintenance to keep this style looking great is to have it trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks.

So which bob is for you.
